Imagine: My Secret World
Ok. I'm going to play My Secret World by Imagine on the Nintendo DS Lite to see what it's like. As I play it for the first time I'll let you know what happens and give little comments.
As Imagine: My Secret World starts up the first exciting thing I notice is that everything is side ways so I have you turn the DS around and use it like a book.
The first thing you notice when starting Imagine: My Secret World is that unlike Imagine Teacher everything is sideways so you need to turn the DS around. This gives the title more of a physical diary feel and it is a nice touch.
Next comes a screen which could hinder this whole review. It wants me to enter a secret code. I assume this "game" is some sort of diary (see I really know nothing about this "game" yet) and you need a password which was set by my daughter to get into it. I'll try to hack my way past it.
It’s also nice that you require a passcode to use the diary, so you really can keep secrets on it. You can even put an extra password over a single page or, unusually, even a single word. That lets you show your diary to your friends without them seeing the name of your crush.
Imagine Teacher DSThe Imagine series has its share of ups and downs. The biggest up of the series though is Imagine Teacher DS. Out of the whole series Imagine Teacher DS has the highest on IGN with a score 7.5 out of 10. If you're interested, the lowest score for an Imagine game got less than 3 out of 10. Along with Imagine My Secret world, Imagine Teacher is a must have game for the DS for school girls.
Haha, it took me two attempts to guess the password on Imagine: My Secret World was 0000. "Hi eleanor, what's up?" it asks me. Actually my name is Adam but I'll let you off DS. I'm fine thanks, how are you?
Oh, it actually does want a response. I get to choose how I feel from a rotating disc of options.
My Secret World by Imagine I can respond with:
In Love
Happy
Rockstar(what?)
Chilled
So-so
Stressed
Feeling Down
Fed up
Heartbroken
I went for heartbroken, well I tried to but I can't work out how you select it. Ah you lift the option to the top of the screen. I've got a feeling Eleanor never worked that out and that's why she's never been seen playing My Secret World by Imagine.
Haha, my daughter is a good laugh. She's come into the room and seen I'm playing My Secret World by Imagine which she hasn't touched since we got it for her a month ago and NOW she wants to play on it. Ridiculous. I've sent her on her way so I'll get on with the game now.

Ok, I've gotten to a part in My Secret World by Imagine DS where I fill out a profile. This is something uniquie to this game and won't be found in the likes of Imagine Teacher DS. Date of birth, location what hobbies I have. I don't see the point of giving My Secret World this information, it's not as though any real person will see what I put in. I might as well just write this information on a piece of paper, or even better just remember it. Maybe it's to remind me what my hobbies are in case I forget. Eleanor has set her mum as her favourite music artist.
Along with that I can create an My Secret World by Imagine DS avatar. This is a little more interesting. I get to create a picture in the game of myself using options like skin colour and clothes. The only downside for me is that there is no option to play switch to a male avatar.
That's good. I see that some of the clothes are locked so there must be some sort of challenge in the game which you can unlock them with. That's good because I like unlockables in games, it gives me a feeling of achievement when I succeed and as well as a new thing to play with. It's also good because it means there must be some kind of challenge in the Imagine: My Secret World.
